I started by using a technique called shibori where I stitched patterns into the fabric or wrapped it in a way that created a resist. I would then submerge it in dye. After the dye process I went back with a bleach pen and made designs on the patterned fabric.

Arcana

This is an animation I completed for my dye class at SCAD. I used a combination of shibori, soy wax batik, bleach pen, and dye paint to create the frames.
